How to Reduce Your Salt Intake

Even though salt is an essential part of the diet, it is important that it is consumed in moderation. The recommended amount of salt is only 1 tsp. or less per day, but due to all the processed foods most people end up consuming more than what they should.

An excess amount of salt can lead to high blood pressure, arthritis, gall bladder and kidney stones, fluid retention and many other common ailments and serious diseases.
