A Balanced Diet

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has long been promoting a so-called balanced diet which includes animal products. They are not promoting this diet because it is good for us, but because they made a deal with the agriculture market. They have even come out and said it themselves, that this diet is not recommended if you want to experience optimal health.

Studies have shown that meats, dairy and poultry products are the cause of many diseases, but sadly the FDA has turned a blind eye, or a deaf ear on these facts because this way, they can make even more money by shoving out medication for these terrifying diseases that their balanced diet causes. Natural Tea

I started drinking tea when I learned of all the health benefits associated with tea. I tried several different flavors and brands and I liked most of them. But before I knew it I had fallen in love with Celestial Seasonings.

Little did I know that they have been around for nearly 40 years providing the public with 100% natural teas. Nor did I know they use over 70 different fruits to bring out the flavors in their teas. All I knew was that I enjoyed their wide variety of flavored, unflavored, herbal, caffeinated, and decaffeinated teas. Read More...

Alfalfa

Alfalfa falls into the legume category. It looks like a clover with clusters of small purple flowers. Alfalfa is an excellent herbal remedy which has been used by the chinese since the sixth century for various health issues.

It is one of the few plants which contains all vitamins from A to K, including folic acid, carotene, and even the scarce vitamin B-12. It is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, iron, potassium, sodium, zinc, molybdenum, and silicon. Read More...

Agave Nectar

Agave nectar is a natural sweetener mainly produced in Mexico. There are several different species of the succulent agave plant such as Agave tequilana (also known as Blue Agave, or Tequila Agave), Salmiana, Green, Grey, Thorny and Rainbow.

It is the same plant as where tequila comes from.

During harvest the leaves are cut away and the juice is extracted from the core of the plant, which is called the pina because it resembles a large pineapple. It is then filtered and heated at low temperatures no higher than 118 degrees F in order to preserve all the enzymes, vitamins and minerals. No chemicals or other ingredients are added during this process and because the temperatures are kept low it is considered to be a raw food. Read More...

Lowering Your Intake of Sodium

Sodium is an essential trace mineral that the body needs in small quantities in order to be healthy. In fact the recommended daily intake of it is only between 1500 to 2400 mg per day, which equates to 1 tsp. or less per day.

However, due to all the processed and fast foods, most people consume much more salt in a day than that. Studies show that the average person consumes somewhere between 2,500 to 5,000 mg a day. That is more than twice the recommended daily intake. Read More...
