Health Benefits of Sprouting

Sprouts have become popular over the last couple of years for a number of reasons; but mainly because they contain the highest amount of nutrition per calorie. They are extremely high in fiber, vitamins, minerals, oils, proteins and enzymes, thus making them a perfect substitute for meat without all the harmful side-effects. They are alkaline which helps to balance the pH in the body. Meat on the other hand is acidic and can cause many diseases.

Sprouts are a living food, which means they continue to grow, and increase in nutrients until you eat them. You can eat them just as they are, or add them in with your salads, sandwiches, wraps, and soups. However, it is recommended that you eat them raw in order to obtain the maximum health benefits.
